If you are a man....!

"If you are a man,drink this!I was told by a gang of students in my college.Another guy with a cigarette in hand came to me and puffed smoke in circles and said the same. I shouted back "If you are a man come to the prayer meeting every week...anyone can smoke or drink but it takes courage to stand in faith and go for the prayer meeting!"

Day 1 session 1 'Jesus as Companion' saw the International coordinator George Devassy sharing his journey with Jesus with the more than 650 young people from different parts of India.

Earlier in the day His excellency Archbishop Abraham Viruthukulangara(Nagpur) and Archbishop Marumpadi Joji(Hyderabad) inaugurated the National Campus meet by lighting the lamp.

During the Holy Mass at 3pm, Archibishop Abraham stressed on the importance of love that is present in Jesus and especially on the need to love the poor and less privileged of the society.

After Mass, the entire participants were divided into 17grps with group leaders & resource leaders for each group. They discuss the session of the day and also a workshop based on the same topic.There is also opportunity to ask and clarify any questions.

Post tea break the audio visual misnitry presented a beautiful skit on Jesus as Companion which was followed by Adoration led by Mr.Rodney Periera (JY India team member).

The day ended with dinner and participants went to bed with lot of expectations for the next day!
